Seeing as this is the first post to this journal, I thought that I'd give a little bit of background. For starters, I already have a livejournal, in fact I now have 3. The first was created as an attempt to cash in (figuratively) on the popularity of MMORPG-related "travel" journals. Of course, like alot of things that people tend to do, this became a little bit tired, especially when I'd decided to stop playing.

Eventually, once the MMORPG flavour of this this journal waned, it inevitably spiraled into a veritable dribble-fest, filled with throwaway comments and sarcastic, jaded opinions with very little coherence; certainly not the way I'd imagined it would turn out.

So, I made the decision (and it was a difficult one, considering just how hard I find it to let things go), to create 2 other journals. Firstly, one to satisfy the inner-nerd, one that I could write constructed pieces of design, software design and opinion in a spot to catalogue both my thought patterns and archive exactly how my opinions change over time. This is called Romphaia.

The second journal has a far more personal flavour to it. I've been with the same girl for over 10 years now, we get along beautifully, she's absolutely everything to me, but it seems to me that she knows almost ever story that I have to tell of my childhood, my adolescence and my adulthood. So, if the one person that I talk to every single day of my life knows everything I have to tell, what will happen to my stories? This is why Bejar was born, as a forum to chronicle this wealth of stories as I can remember them and hopefully, so they do not get lost in the aether of time and space.

So there you have it, the old livejournal may very well be dead an buried; but with the spawning of these new creative outlets, the future seems bright.
